ONLINE THERAPY FOR STRESS & BURNOUT THROUGHOUT NEW YORK AND SOUTH CAROLINA
You deserve REST. You deserve HEALING.
Are you feeling worn out, overwhelmed, and just… DONE?
What Is Stress?
Stress is your body’s natural response to pressure, demands, or perceived threats. It can show up as racing thoughts, tension in your body, irritability, or feeling on edge. While short-term stress can be a normal part of life, chronic stress, when your body stays in a constant state of alert, can impact your mood, energy, relationships, and overall health.
You might feel like you're always “on,” struggling to relax, or constantly overwhelmed by even small tasks.
What Is Burnout?
Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, especially when you’ve been overworking, over giving, or ignoring your own needs. It often shows up as fatigue, lack of motivation, cynicism, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and others.
Burnout doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’ve been strong for too long without enough support.
Maybe you’ve noticed
You go to bed tired and wake up tired.
You’re more irritable.
You feel emotionally numb.
You’re mentally or physically exhausted.
You’re less motivated, even for the things you once enjoyed.
Your productivity or performance is being negatively impacted.
You dread going to work or feel indifferent about work.
You’re having more frequent headaches and digestive issues.
You’re not lazy. You’re not weak. You may be experiencing burnout, and your body and mind are seeking care and support.
What you’re feeling is real and can’t continue to be ignored
Stress and burnout can affect every part of your life including your sleep patterns, the way you interact with others, and your physical and mental health.
You might be telling yourself, “Other people have it worse,” or “I just need to push through.”
But what if healing isn’t about going harder? What if it’s about learning to listen inwardly and responding with compassion?
The unique weight BIPOC individuals carry
As a BIPOC you don’t just have to deal with personal stressors, but also the weight of systemic oppression, racial trauma, microaggressions, cultural expectations, and generational survival patterns. These layers of stress are constant, yet often invisible to others, leaving you feeling unseen, dismissed, or expected to "just deal with it."
You might:
Feel pressure to work twice as hard to be seen as “enough”
Constantly navigate spaces where you don’t feel safe or understood
Silently absorb microaggressions at work, school, or in relationships
Struggle with saying “no” or setting boundaries out of fear of being labeled difficult
Feel guilt or shame for needing rest, softness, or support
This chronic emotional labor can lead to a deeper, more complex form of burnout, one that not only affects your energy, but your identity, sense of safety, and belonging.
For BIPOC individuals, the pressure to keep going, stay strong, and avoid “being a burden” can make it even harder to slow down and ask for help.
