Hi, I’m Angela. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to helping adults who are living with the adverse effects of interpersonal trauma and harm, build greater confidence, self-acceptance, and emotional resilience. I’m committed to empowering individuals to be more secure within themselves and to have more fulfilling relationships with others.

As a therapist who leads with compassion, authenticity, and acceptance, my goal is to create an environment that is welcoming and affirming. Clients often tell me how much they appreciate the safe, non-judgmental feel of our sessions. I believe the therapeutic relationship is foundational to healing, and the space we co-create is incredibly important to the work we engage in. Whether you’re dealing with difficult emotions, painful memories, or challenging life situations, I want you to know your experiences are valid and that you are supported every step of the way.

What you can expect in therapy with me

  • We’ll work together to understand your unique experiences, goals, and challenges, creating a treatment plan tailored to your needs and moving at a pace that’s right for you.

  • We’ll work on building your skills to help manage anxiety, anger, and emotional dysregulation.

  • Working with deeply distressing and triggering issues requires a gentle approach because your nervous system may already be overwhelmed, and pushing too hard can retraumatize rather than heal. Safety, trust, and pacing are essential for deep, lasting healing.

  • The therapeutic process isn’t just about addressing surface-level symptoms, but also about exploring the root causes of your challenges. It can be difficult to go beyond the surface and into the deeper layers of your inner world, but that is where true transformation takes place. The goal isn’t just to cope with life’s struggles, but to create lasting change that brings peace, balance, and a sense of wellness to your life.

My approach

I approach therapy holistically, recognizing the importance of the body’s wisdom in the healing process.

I understand that trauma and emotional distress do not just affect you psychologically, but also physiologically. These experiences become stored in the body, affecting how your nervous system responds.

Therefore, I integrate talk therapy and somatic techniques, to help you reconnect with your body. This helps with processing unresolved trauma, and developing healthier patterns of regulation.

Using my training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and other body-based therapies, I’m able to integrate mindful awareness of bodily sensations, movement, and emotions to help release stored trauma, build emotional resilience, and create lasting change.

A little more about me -

Born and raised in New York, I’m a devoted single mother of two young adults. I value my Christian faith and recognize that everyone’s beliefs are personal and should be honored. I’m passionate about justice for the oppressed, marginalized, and those whose voices are too often unheard or dismissed.
